I was invited
to attend the grand opening of Indonesian Contemporary Art &
Design (ICAD) 2013 in Grand Kemang, Jakarta. So I guess I have to fashioned-up my style that night, i choose my abstract shirt and packed it with a brown belt.
This 4th Indonesian Contemporary Art & Design 2013
(ICAD) opened on Saturday night, August 30, 2013, in the pool area
Grand Kemang Hotel. This
year's theme "Restart", which the main idea for every human needs a break to breathe and grow a new
spirit. Humans could revolutionize their life.
Studying and understanding the cultural history, chronicles and also their own
life, to reinvent a new story from the history. Processed through a reflection,
pause for a moment, then creatively re-interpreted to bring new value to a work
of art. Every human being requires a 'restart' in his/her life, for breath and
new spirit.
I really like this event, the idea is
very motivating!
Early evening when the skies dimmed light. Dance performances, fashion shows and music was held
surrounding the enthusiastic
audience. Fashion designer presents Rosso saga acculturation through a dance show,
side by side with professional dancer Japan, Ai Hasuda.
The stage was built right on
top of the hotel’s pool, it looks so magnificent with the four models who wear batik fashion from one of the exhibit; Rosso made from banana
tree fibers walking
around infront of the audience. Rhythmic music Andante Community Youth Orchestra accompany the fashion show’s models steps turn on stage
that night.
ICAD 2013 is not just an art exhibition. ICAD is about inspiring and sharing
insights. In addition to displaying artwork, ICAD 2013 also presents creative leaders,
who will speak in 3 separate conventions. This year there are
also film screenings. All programs are open to the public and free of charge.
